The art of fishing, Burma.

Fisherman in Burma kneeling at the helm of his boat on Lake Inle at sunset. The conical bamboo structures are thrown into the water with nets released inside and the fisherman skilfully spear their prey in shallow waters.

A fisherman’s life is exhausting; the crisp silhouette against a seemingly placid lake demonstrates their commitment to the craft. A fisherman’s day begins before dawn and ends at dusk; the detailed brush strokes in the water depict the depth of both their skill and knowledge of the lake.
