The Bull’s head forms part of the Heritage collection, inspired by a visit to India to learn about my heritage. The Bull was an important part of my great grandfather’s daily life in rural India in the early 1900s.
Bulls played an integral part of daily life for farmers in rural India. They were used for farming and transporting crops in the relentless heat. The collection features a strong recurring motif to denote the steadfastness of the bull during times of hardship, interspersed with patterns from an old Indian passport which reflect the bull’s place in India’s identity.
